Today we have gone from Nottingham all the way to Normanton-on-Soar and are prepared for tonight. However, it turns out we are pretty much under the flight path of East Midlands Airport and Pete says that there is also a flight path of geese.
Our night’s sleep was so good that we decided to have a lie in of sorts, until 12:15 p.m. in Castle Marina. Once we got away we were well able to catch up to where we should be today. We went back onto the Trent, then, after reaching the Soar…
we passed Ratcliffe-On-Soar Power Station.
We also saw a very interesting weir, notice the weir at the back of it as well.
This is opposite our mooring for the night.
So another really sunny day has got to me and Pete; we are both red, we’ve definitely caught the sun! More sun cream needed for tomorrow, kindly donated by Mick. Pete says “He looks after us he does”. The way the last two days have gone, we’re definitely helping one another to (plane roars over!!!…) get along.
More long days are ahead although today wasn’t that bad, it’s starting to cool off now. We are in the evening so I think its time for me to sign off and go to bed.
