There are weed cutters in operation on the canal in Derbyshire this week.
In order to comply with Covid 19 regulations, the sections of towpath alongside the areas being cut will be closed temporarily.

The work is being done by Somerset Boat Centre. Water Plant Ltd., which used to do the weedcutting (click here) has closed, but many of their staff and some of their equipment are now part of SBC.

The raking boat was on the top pound, here just above Tapton Mill Bridge. Note that the banksman was wearing a mask.

The weedcutter itself was just above Wheeldon Mill Lock.
