Many lucky people live very near to the towpath of our beautiful canal and have always used it for walking and cycling. Naturally they wish to continue so to do in the current troubled times. The issue is that the towpath is often narrow, so the 2m rule is difficult or impossible to observe.
Both Derbyshire County Council and the Canal & River Trust have put up notices. See below.
