The construction of the new Trans-Pennine Trail bridge will begin in the second half of April.
It will carry the TPT and the Arkwright Trail over the canal when it is restored later this year and into next year.
This bridge will cross the canal at Hartington in Staveley. It will replace the old Great Central Railway bridge that was demolished in 1994.
The bridge will go where the red B is towards the top right.

Below are a series of artist’s impressions of the new bridge. Each view is in “Black Grey” and “Pearl Orange”. The final decision on colour has not yet been made.
