Toby Perkins is the MP for Chesterfield. To see his question from this morning, click here.
Toby came to visit our Work Party’s site at Lowgates a month ago. We explained the problems that we have in the next 300 metres where we have to deal with Network Rail, Derbyshire County Council, the Trans-Pennine Trail and Chesterfield Borough Council.
It is even more complicated because the mineral line bridge, currently owned by Network Rail, will eventually be passed on to HS2.
HS2 engineers visited the site last November.
We are very grateful to Toby for pushing our case and look forward to enhanced talks with HS2 in the near future.
