It is with enormous sorrow that we must report the passing away of Vicki Croot.
Vicki died in hospital on Monday 10th March.
Our thoughts are with Vicki’s family.
There will be a full appreciation in the next Cuckoo.
Vicki joined the Trust in 2003. She and her partner, Pete Ramsell, started by running the old Norwood Packet tripboat. They then oversaw the successful launch of Seth Ellis, our Retford-based tripboat, in 2005. Vicki ran the Seth Ellis bookings for seven years, finally handing over in April 2012.
Pete’s death in late 2012 hit Vicki very hard, but she continued to play a part in the Trust whenever possible and helped with the tripboat bookings at our Festival last summer.
She will be greatly missed by many in the Trust, but especially by the Seth Ellis crew.
The funeral was held on Monday 31st March at Brimington Crematorium.
