At last, the great day had dawned. The new John Varley arrived at Staveley Town Basin.
Slowly it was lowered into the water.
There seemed to be a problem.
Was it caught on the side?
Panic not – it was soon touching the water …..
….. and then floating.
Looking very smart.
A couple of hours later and the cratch covers were in place, plus the name.
Alan James had applied the graphics to one side.
This is the reveal for the logo ….. (Photo by Richard Chappell)
….. and here’s the name on the bow.
Judi just wanted to wrap it up in a blanket and take it home!
The portholes are stunning.
Thank you so much Kate.
Mike Tye seemed pleased. By the way, the seat covers are all the same colour. They look different because of a trick of the light.
A beautiful image in the evening sun.
