Our long awaited container finally arrived at Hollingwood Hub today.
It will be used primarily to store the paddleboards and kayaks that we will be hiring out in the future.
The first job was to fit the outriggers.
The offiside ones did not stick too far out into the road …..
….. but the nearside ones stretched right across the footpath.
The chains were attached …..
….. so the lift could begin.
It was expertly swung round …..
….. and then moved behind the building.
It was lowered very slowly …..
….. and had to be persuaded at times.
Only a few inches to go.
The front was fine, but the back needed to be moved a few inches, so the front chains were unhooked …..
….. and Dave got it just right.
Then the crane was retracted …..
….. and folded.
All packed up and ready to go.
It sits very neatly.
It will eventually be painted …..
….. and the inside will have a bit of work done on it.
