Yes it’s the end of the week. It has brought a change of crew staying overnight. Pete and I have swapped with Maurice and Arthur who will continue on towards Stoke Bruerne.
A early morning start was required today as it was the longest yet with more locks as well, but it gave us chance to stop for some dinner on Python whose gas hob got used for more than boiling the kettle – a nice fry up!
We ended up meeting the Leicestershire Festival and the dragon boat races, and they had the nerve to hit us! We also met a historic boat and it’s butty.
They absolutely loved Python and said that they would see us again on our journey to the next festival.
